The Big Fat Ride is back!

We want you to join us during Fur Rondy as fat bikers for a fun, all-ability friendly ride across Anchorage. It's been almost two years, and we can't wait to ride with you. Together we will tour our beautiful and snowy city.

This is a great and exciting ride for families, people that are new to Fat biking, people that are still working on enduring longer rides in the snow, and for all of those experienced riders that want to have a fun time with others. This is definitely a ride that welcomes and encourages all ability riders.

Join us and hundreds of other fat bikers on a fun, beginner-friendly ride across Anchorage. Tour our beautiful, snow city and celebrate the birthplace of the Fat Bike. Start your chill, 5-mile loop on 4th Avenue Downtown. Then, make your way to Westchester Lagoon for a party with all of your fat bike friends. After warming up with some refreshments, finish the loop via the spectacular coastal trail.

By joining us for this ride, you're supporting Bike Anchorage and a more bikeable, walkable city. The Big Fat Ride caps off Winter Bike Fest, our month long celebration of biking in our winter city. We hope to see you at this and all Winter Bike Fest events!

HELMETS REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDERS. **PLEASE REVIEW THE FAQS PAGE.** **ALL RIDERS/GUARDIANS WILL NEED TO SIGN A WAIVER FORM FOR BIB PICK UP (If you signed yours electronically, we don't need a printed copy)**

The Route

4th & D Street to Cordova down to 13th Avenue where we will turn west and bike over to A Street to join the trail system on Chester Creek Trail. Continue west to Westchester Lagoon for a Big Fat Ride party and refresh station mid-ride. Finish up the ride along the Coastal Trail to 2nd & Christensen Dr where volunteers will be there to cheer you on!

The route will be guided and well marked.
